Introduction

RTB is a free, certificate-based training in 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusivity, Sexual Health and Harm Reduction for service providers across social, health, and community service sectors-primarily in the Peel Region, with availability for select organizations outside Peel and corporate teams. It is available in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, and Urdu.
Program Modules (Total: 6 hours)

Delivered in one full day or split across sessions. Modules are fully customizable and can be booked individually or as a full training series.
1. 2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusivity (3 hours) +
  • Historical foundations of homophobia and transphobia
  • Sexual orientation, gender identity & expression, and core queer terminology
  • Essentials of inclusivity: what it means, why it matters, and how to practice it
  • Oppressive behaviours: stereotypes, microaggressions, stigma, and their impact on delayed testing, reduced access to care, and higher STBBI risk
  • Intersectionality in service provision
  • Creating safer, welcoming, and affirming spaces
  • Organizational responsibility & everyday allyship
  • Practical tools to navigate difficult conversations, reduce conflict, and respond to challenging situations with empathy and safety
2. Sexual Health (1.5 hours) +
  • Foundations of STBBIs and HIV
  • Understanding U = U (Undetectable = Untransmittable)
  • Protection & Prevention through a harm reduction lens
  • Shifting conversations from fear to empowerment
  • Reducing shame and stigma in sexual health care
3. Harm Reduction (1.5 hours) +
  • Philosophy of harm reduction
  • Substance use, stigma, and criminalization
  • The impact of policy and the “War on Drugs”
  • Intersectionality and substance use in 2SLGBTQIA+ communities
  • Safer consumption practices and STBBI prevention
  • Provider responsibilities in offering non-judgmental, trauma-informed care
About the ProgramTotally Outright at Moyo is a 16-session certificate-based program for 2SLGBTQ+ adults (18+) in Peel who want to learn, connect, and grow in a supportive space.

Through an evidence-based lens and a variety of resources — from videos, articles and peer-led discussions participants build resilience and commit to living healthier, more connected lives.

No prior knowledge or experience needed — just curiosity and openness.

How It Works
• 1:1 Sessions: At least two individual sessions (online or in person) per theme, usually 45–60 minutes with time to pause, reflect, and go deeper at your pace.

• Start Small: You’re welcome to try one session first and see if the approach fits your needs before moving forward.

• Roundtables: Two group discussions with peers and community members to share, learn, and connect (online or in person)

Theme Duration: Each theme runs for about two months.

• Certificate: Participants who complete the required sessions across themes receive a certificate of completion, recognizing their learning and engagement.

Themes We Explore Together
Totally Outright is built around four key modules/themes of wellbeing:

1. Sexual Health
Learn about consent, safer sex, HIV/STBBI testing, PrEP/PEP, and exploring pleasure in affirming ways.

2. Emotional & Mental Health
Conversations about coming out, family expectations, body image, resilience, loneliness, self-worth, and healthy relationships.

3. Physical Health & Harm Reduction
Understand safer ways to navigate substances, hookups, digital spaces, and party & play culture — while keeping your wellbeing at the centre.

4. Identity & Belonging
Explore how culture, history, and community shape our identities. Learn about intersectionality, colonial impacts on sexuality, and the importance of chosen family and community pride.
