IMPORTANT: Bad Drug Alert
Date of alert: November 11, 2025
Reason for alert: Counterfeit Dilaudid tablets which contain Fentanyl in Peel
Further information related to incident(s): Over the past week Moyo Satellite Peers confirmed 5 instances of counterfeit Dilaudid in Mississauga and Brampton which tested positive for Fentanyl using test strips. 3 overdoses were reported in relation to the counterfeit Dilaudid with each requiring 3 doses of naloxone to reverse the overdose. There was a drug alert issued in Nelson B.C. in May 2025 with pills that look identical to the ones reported in Peel. Please see image below. These pills pose a high risk for overdose.

IF SOMEONE OVERDOSES:
—Call 911
—Administer 1 dose of Naloxone every 3 minutes as needed, if an opioid overdose is suspected
—Administer rescue breaths; 1 breath every 5 seconds in between doses of Naloxone
—Do not give stimulants (e.g. crystal meth) as this can make the overdose worse
—Continue to assist victim until paramedics arrive
—The responder should follow paramedics to the hospital if possible
IF USING SUBSTANCES:
—Never use alone and make sure the person you are with is willing and able to respond. Call the National Overdose Response Service at 1-888-688-NORS (6677) to get support while using alone.
—Try a very small amount first
—If you use with a friend, do not use at the exact same time so you can monitor each other
—Avoid mixing substances
—Use at a safe consumption site
—Test your drugs first
—Have Naloxone ready. Know how to respond to an overdose
