Moyo Health and Community Services and Roots Community Services welcome you to a workshop that will focus on educating the community on harm reduction strategies from a black community-based perspective! We will be discussing:
• The history of drug policing and systemic racism
• Safer use strategies
• HIV and Hep C prevention strategies
• Decriminalization of substance use
• Resources for community activism and advocacy
We are excited to have our guest speaker Harm Reduction Coordinator Orville Burke share their perspectives on the harm reduction movement/strategies within the black community! Join us on Zoom on Wednesday February 22nd at 6PM for an evening full of educational conversations and a chance to connect with your community.
There will also be a Q&A Section for you to ask any question you may have about harm reduction resources and supports in the Peel Region, as well as an opportunity for people to share their experiences.
