🌟 Join us for a Stellar Screening!🌟

Ebony Pride Movie Night Presents: Rafiki! Join us for a special screening of the powerful and groundbreaking film Rafiki. This event will take place on Fri Aug 16, 2024 at 6:00 PM. Come and celebrate the beauty of Black LGBTQ+ stories with us as we challenge and reclaim Black queer narratives through the lens of cinema. Food and beverages will be provided!

About This Event:

Rafiki tells the story of two Kenyan girls who fall in love, as they navigate their love within a community where LGBTQ+ relationships are frowned upon and within their country where LGBTQ+ relationships are illegal. This film promises to take you on an emotional and thought-provoking voyage.

This Ebony Pride, we are reclaiming narratives of Black joy and resistance through challenging and reclaiming Black stories from a queer lens! Join us in community and discussion on Black queer stories through a screening of Rafiki.

Why You Should Attend:

Reconnect:This is a unique opportunity for Blacks folks to meet and be in community.

Reflect: Engage in post-film discussions that mirror our own experiences and challenge societal narratives.

Reignite: Spark new conversations and continue the dialogue about the intersectionality of Blackness and queerness.
